THE DESIGN STORY

Strike an impression in these earrings that eschews classic forms. Inspired by Ovid's myth, gold nuggets recall boulders stacked by the Giganti in their bold attempt to reach the throne of Heaven. A shimmering pavé of diamonds expertly set by our master artisans mimic Zeus's lightning bolts, hurled down in fury to crush the Giganti.

THE ARTWORK

Illustrated by Cornwall-based illustrator Caitlin Turner, known for her surreal and macabre creations that produce an old storybook feel. This rich graphite artwork print depicts a defiant Gigante (Giant) being pinned down by a crumbling pillar, recalling the dramatism of Giulio Romano's fresco paintings.

Here, Gigante has been re-interpreted in the romantic style of a fantastical folklore creature, inspired by Romantic Nationalist illustrators such as the late John Bauer. Signed by the artist, printed on acid-free paper and glassine-wrapped.
